3月16日，中国著名艺术家武明中将在韩国Leeahn Gallery举办《嗨，2011—武明中个展》。展览将展出新近创作的玻璃系列绘画作品和多媒体影像作品。近十年间，艺术家以其独特的绘画语言，用玻璃表达着人的脆弱性，以爱、婚姻、生命、政治、宗教、美丽、青春、争斗、消费文化等为主题创作了大量独特的绘画作品。

　　在这次展出的“圣母子”绘画作品中，画中人物已经不是文艺复兴时期拉菲尔笔下的圣母与圣子，而是装着葡萄酒的玻璃欧洲时尚女性抱着一个中国婴儿，艺术家借用基督教题材，意在表达由西方造就的现代物质文明，使得人类中心主义激发的欲望不断膨胀，让我们看到了许许多多人类的险境，而中国传统中人对自然的谦卑和睿智态度，也许是修正人类现代文明方式的有效方式，如是，则有可能改变人类文明运行的轨迹。由此，画中的中国婴儿象征性地代表了新的人类救主的出现，他不是具体的一个人更不是神，而是谦卑和睿智的东方态度。

　　1963 生于中国河北省涿鹿县

　　1988 河北师范学院美术系，获学士学位

　　1997 首都师范大学美术系，获硕士学位

　　2003-2004 俄罗斯列宾美术学院访问学者

　　2005 美国纽约州立大学布法罗分校访问学者。

　　现居北京，首都师范大学美术学院副教授，硕士生导师。
