Chinese Oil Painter Dalu Zhao Opens His Virgin Show at Trevor-Victor-Harvey Gallery in Sydney.
…Good oil painters in China are numerous, but Dalu Zhao stands out with his solid academic training, his penchant for romanticism, his acute observation on nicety and his strength in expressing his subject matters with accuracy.
Dalu blends Chinese philosophy with western aesthetics. Mixing oriental subject matters, mystic ambience, Chinese calligraphies and the folded screen layout with classic western oil painting techniques, his works of nudes, portraits, landscapes and still life catch people’s eyes without efforts.

The open land and the sea air has extended his vision and stretched his lunges. Winning the People’s Choice of an Archibald, Dalu thanked Australia for its openness to recognize his talents.
