Swedish Fashion – Exploring a New Identity is an exhibition showing the work of a new generation of fashion designers from Sweden. It reflects a new attitude to fashion in a country to date mainly associated with strong chains such as H&M, brand names such as J. Lindeberg and denim labels such as Acne.
This generation, which debuted around the start of the new millennium, is characterised by a more individualistic and artistic approach to fashion.

The H.R.H.Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and The H.R.H.Prince Daniell of Sweden attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The choreographer Jin Xing
The Swedish Institute and the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing presents an exclusive cooperation between Chinese and Swedish culture, featuring dance, fashion and music. The Shanghai-based choreographer Jin Xing will bring life to clothes designed by some of Sweden’s most prominent designers, accompanied by music by Swedish musicians Andreas Kleerup and Andreas Unge.
Jin Xing’s choreography has created a dynamic setting for the exposure of Swedish fashion, says Anders Öhrn, Project Manager at the Swedish Institute who has commissioned the performance.
