关于作品《莫奈的花园》

这件实验动画构思于2014年5月。两年前，我完成了实验动画作品《痒》。《痒》的画面基调是黑白的，而《莫奈的花园》则是彩色的。我问过自己：为什么在这件作品中选用彩色创作？在过去的创作生活中，我曾经认为彩色是难以驾驭的，今天依然认为是这样。 是自己在驾驭彩色上更自信了吗？是因为“花园”主题需要色彩吗？

艺术家谈自己的作品，往往会解释的支离破碎。但这丝毫改变不了我对于《莫奈的花园》认可：这件作品是个人实验动画创作历程中的一个重要的作品。相比十年前的首件实验动画作品《美丽蛋糕》，这件作品更加具有新意，且有许多尝试。

关于主题

作品以《莫奈的花园》为名，并非要再现莫奈本人及他的吉弗尼的花园。他和他的花园在作品中是个表征。他们代表了一种现实的状态（或许这种状态是众多艺术家孜孜以求的状态。）。

画面里黄色的“人” 为“我”，他是艺术家本人吗？还是观看作品的观众？在作品中，“我”亲历了“莫奈”一天的生活，不如说我虚构了他一天的生活。我是真实的。在创作这件作品的过程中，我经常在“莫奈”和“我”之间来回转换。这对我来说是全新的创作体验。

About  the work of “Monet’s Garden”

The idea of “Monet’s Garden” originated from May of 2014. Two years ago, I completed the work of “Itch”. The basic tune of “Monet’s Garden” is color instead of black and white used in the work of “Itch” . I make a inquiry for myself: why I choose Color-application in “Monet’s Garden”. In the past of creation life, once I believe in Color-application is difficult to control. Today, the attitude remains unchanged. Is it convinced that I am better now in Color-application process? Is it necessary that the subject of “Monet’ Garden ” is in want of Color-application.

The interpretation of works by artist himself will be all broken up. But it could not change my approve for “Monet’ Garden” in the slightest. The work will be an important work in my later art creation life. Comparing with “Beautiful Cake” finished ten years ago, “Monet’s Garden” breaks new ground and has more bold attempts.

About the subject

the name by “Monet’s Garden” is not intend to represent the life of Monet and his garden. He and his Garden is an emblem of realistic situation. Perhaps many artists seek this kind of situation.

The young man with yellow color is “I”. Is he the artist himself? Is he the one of the visitors of “Monet’s Garden”? In the work of “Monet’s Garden”, “I” experienced one day life of Monet,   but the better to say that I make up a day-life for “Monet”. I am really existed. In the process of creation, I often transform between the role of “I” and “Monet”, which is totally new experience for me.
