序言/

戴陈连近期的绘画实践是关于皮影影像和皮影剧场表演的草图、脚本的呈现，这些小稿都是平日积累，每一张都有可能成为下一阶段的一部电影、一场表演，我的绘画其实就是一次次的剧场演习。
影像实践和剧场实践紧密的联系在一起，一方面影像作为浓缩的微型舞台提供了制作剧场作品的练习机会，同时每天的皮影操作作为每日的必修课养性，另一方面剧场实践延伸了影像创作的思路，同时也架构起和日常生活的联系。
我们就是剧本，不知在哪里开始又在哪里结束，我们的现实娇娇喘喘反反复复，我们的结局飘飘潇潇零零落落。我们反复等待，反复被上演被布景被开端被发展被转折被预演之后又一次的被再预演，戴陈连想给大家一点点的不完整，一点点的矛盾，一点点的纪实，一点点的叙述，一点点的描写，由此展开一丝丝的春情一丝丝的离愁一丝丝的回忆一丝丝的残酷还有一丝丝的幻想。

Dai Chenlian's current painting practice is the sketch and script of shadow puppetry inspired from my daily accumulation. Each piece of the sketch might probably become a movie or a performance in the next stage. Each of my paintings is actually one theater rehearsal.
Video practice linked closely with theater practice. On the one hand, as a condensed micro- performance stage, video give an opportunity to practice video works, meanwhile, shadow puppetry practice is the daily compulsory course for self-cultivation; on the other hand, the theatre practice widened our way of video creation, which formed closely connection with daily life.
We, itself is a play without knowing where the beginning and ends are. Our reality is repeatedly gasping and moaning; our outcome is fluttering and scattered. We wait over and over again. After repeatedly staged, stage scenery, got started, undergone, changed and pre-showed, we were pre-showed once again. Dai Chenlian wants to keep a little piece of incompleteness, a little piece of contradictory, a little piece of documentary, little narrations and descriptions for audience, leaving us a little passion, a little bitter of parting, a bit of memory, a bit of cruelness and a little bit of illusion.
