During January 25 to May 15, the first Zhangjiajie art, calligraphy and photography Biennial exhibition will be held by Zhangjiajie Department of Publicity and Zhangjiajie Literary and Art Federations at Lotus Art Museum .This is an important matter in cultural construction of��strong city as well as a��lavish new year gifts to the townspeople for the literary and art circles.
Possessing the world first-class natural landscape, Zhangjiajie claims the rich and colorful culture.��Based on such good idea,��in line with the principles of serving the people and socialism，let a hundred��flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend ，Zhangjiajie Literary and Art Federations try to build big platform for the artists so as to develop art , calligraphy and photography and��train much��more artists for profession for the future.
In this Biennial exhibition, the 100 pieces works on display were selected from 372 entries by a jury .Among them, 26 pieces of works were honored as Outstanding works. By means of realism or liberal style, these works contain a variety of items ,including Zhangjiajie beautiful scenes ,special ethnic minority customs and culture ,the people’ hot living ,the great achievements for the economic and social development and so on. It is a visual feast which presents people with the marvel of shadow, the charm of color and the fantasy of pen and ink . This is not only a display to show the artists’ pursuit and talent but also a review of Zhangjiajie’s art groups.
We have good fortune to won wide support from the Zhangjiajie Party Committee and Zhangjiajie Government as well as Hunan Province Artists Association, Calligraphers Association , and Photographers Association. Besides these, close co-operation of Zhangjiajie Artists Association, Zhangjiajie Calligraphers Association , Zhangjiajie Photographers Association, Lotus Art Museum and four districts and counties literary and art federations in this activity��will be highly appreciated .At this moment ,what we wish to do is to say thanks to all the friendly units and individuals .
As time goes by, many things will go far away with the wind.
But anyhow, many fine views will exist as an eternity in art world.
