從對新聞媒體的真實性和客觀性的懷疑開始，吳以強的批判態度擴展到日常生活中的一切，從報紙擴展到更多的紙上傳媒，如宣傳品、書籍、雜誌、甚至是經文。從這些紙媒上，藝術家感受到的是世界的渾沌、自說自話的荒謬、東拼西湊的意見和七嘴八舌的煩厭。吳以強的作品以紙上傳媒為創作材料，把他們揉碎、拼合、重組、去文字化，讓我們從擠擁的圖像和文字世界中解放出來，在煩囂世界中啟發了新的思考空間。

WU YIQIANG’s works started from doubting the authenticity and objectivity of the news media. Later, he expanded his critical attitude from newspapers to other media on paper, such as promotional materials, books, magazines, and even scriptures. From these papers, the artist felt the chaos of the world, the absurdity of everyone telling their own stories, patchworks of ideas with no standpoint, and all sorts of annoying gossip. By using paper media as his materials, WU crumpled them, split them, reorganized them, de-textualized them, released us from the hustle and bustle world of images and words, and created new space for us to think.
