M50严德泰油画展

展览介绍
计划于今年11月3日举办的M50严德泰画展，是东京潘画廊与严德泰先生近年来的第二次合作。严老在近二十年潜心研究水彩画，佳作多以“寥寥数笔，纯熟的笔法就勾勒出惊鸿一瞥的灵山秀水”而被各地的美术馆喜爱珍藏。
而此次潘画廊将首展其早期的油画作品，分享艺术家经历“十年封笔”的苦楚后，再次出山入水，遍历城乡，用他乐观的心境重拾绘画的成果；既包含了当时日复一日在晨曦初现的滩涂码头写生；也囊括了翻山越岭，与山川风雨为伴，画下的大札写生作品。其执着艺术，不断探索的精神，未曾减改。
作为刘海粟先生的入室弟子，严德泰先生一直秉持着恩师“作画要表现而不再现”的精神，不拘俗格、创新不辍。青年时就曾以油画获奖，对写实的油画技法纯熟于心。皆因严老始终认为，唯有将自己放入画中，投入情与意，方可创造出完美的作品。
严德泰先生历任上海水彩画研究会会长、上海《画坛之友》艺术沙龙会长等职，交流画艺多有推进之功。又多次办展海外，作品被多家机构及私人收藏。
The Yan Detai painting show is going to be held on November 3, is the second coopration between the artist and Tokyo Pan Gallery in recent years. In the recent twenty years, Yan spent a lot of time on researching the watercolors, and his masterpieces which were famous for “use few strokes and skillful brushwork to present the outline of a glimpse in nature ” were collected by art galleries in each place. Pan gallery will exhibit Yan's early oil paintings for the first time, to share the artist's optimistic mood to regain his artistical fruit through traveling in nature after experiencing the suffering of "stop drawing for a decade". From this show, it includes not only the sketch he drawed at beach day in and day out, but also the ones finished by across mountains and ravines. His spirit for discorvering arts constantly has never changed a tiny bit.
As the student of Liu Haisu, Mr. Yan has been to uphold teacher’s concept:"To represent, not to reproduce", never sticking to one pattern and stoping innovating. When he was young, Yan had already learned realistic painting skills in his mind and even awraded a prize for that because of his insistent concept: the only way to create a perfect work is put yourself and own emotions in it.
This show is what Mr. Yan want to present to the world, the voice only belonged to him. And also the trip to follow the art by the pioneer who still has firm steps and the warm heart. Let's be immersed in it, taste and explore the secret world of the creator carefully. The exhibition will be held in M50, which is the famous creative industrial district in Shanghai and it will also last until January 2 next year.
