刘墨于1966年生于沈阳。自小学习书画，1985年高中毕业后自学，兴趣甚广，包括东西方文化哲学、宗教、文学、艺术史、学术思想史等。主要著作有《中国艺术美学》、《中国书法文化大观》、《中华文化十万个为什么•美术卷》、《八大山人》和《龚贤》等。此外，在报刊上发表学术评论、书评、随笔等200余篇。

Liu Mo (Born 1966)
Born in Shenyang in 1966, Liu Mo started painting and calligraphy at a young age. After graduated from high school, he continued his self-study in religion, philosophy, art history and literature. Apart from painting, Liu has also written various publications concerning Chinese art history and traditional Chinese culture.
