創作理念:

藝術家廖彥婷，製作作品對她來說就是在記錄故事一樣，記錄著她的所見所聞所感，在漫長的日子中記錄著生命中的珍貴體驗。這次展覽使用了「超輕土」做為創作媒材，「超輕土」具有輕盈的特質看起來雖重，拿起來卻讓人覺得沒有與體積成正比的重量，充滿著奇異的違和感、超現實感，而藝術家運用此種飄渺虛無感來創作關於心裡層面的意識活動或是情緒方面的議題。

此次展覽人物面部皆以「似面具」的手法來呈現，在現實生活裡，我們因為各式各樣的原因和理由，戴上我們各自覺得安心或合適的面具生活著，戴久了的面具，假的存在也成了有血有肉的真實存在，主宰著自我的自由意識，迷失了最初那屬於自由意識的「自我」那張臉。

Concept:

We construct ourselves from “the little others” but we also loss ourselves --ego-- in the same time. By examining the little others, ourselves become actors who compromise with the world. The artworks in this exhibition are all covered with masks which represent ego. We try to learn from the little others to fit in the characters and to be identified by the outside world. The identification also makes us feel the sense of existence. As time goes by, we are so used to the masks and forget who we originally are.
