梁树堂

梁树堂（Richard Leung），1961年出生于香港，著名油画家梁鸿先生的第三个儿子。1978年跟随父亲一起移民美国的加利福尼亚州，自小受父亲梁鸿和哥哥梁树邦的影响热爱绘画, 而后他进入奥克兰莱尼学院主修艺术和商业，同时也学习摄影。梁树堂作为家庭的第三个具有天赋的风景画家正迅速地赢得人们的赏识, 如今他的作品遍布于夏威夷和美国西海岸的顶级画廊所展出。由于他父亲的教导和鼓励，梁树堂的绘画技术没有家族其他成员那么印象派，尽管他同样也从大自然中得到最多的灵感。频繁的旅行让他经历了不同的山水和风景，学习形式，光的效果和用色。

他的画作最显著的特点是不断变幻的色彩使用并倾向于对山水景色更深入的关注，从而创作出更动人而又充满着生命力的作品。他的画法借鉴了许多中国古代画作的传统。“像任何一个画家一样，我之所以绘画是希望我的作品可以使观众感到舒适愉悦并带领他们进入一个只有梦境中才会出现的美丽天堂。”他如是说。

Born on October 10, 1961, in Hong Kong, Richard Leung immigrated with his family to California in 1978. He attended Laney College in Oakland and majored in art, as well as studying photography and lighting as a side interest. Following the footsteps of his father and older brother, Richard Leung is rapidly earning recognition as the family's third talented landscape painter. Galleries throughout Hawaii and the Western United States such as Kaha Galleries, Genesis Galleries, and the Richardson Gallery have represented his work. Encouraged and trained by his father, Richard Leung's technique is less impressionistic than the other members of the family, though he too takes his greatest inspiration from nature. He travels frequently to experience different landscapes and sceneries, studying form, lighting effects, and coloring.

His work features an increasingly dramatic use of color and a tendency to focus more intimately upon a landscape’s innate beauty, producing a smaller image that is full of power. At the same time, his style owes much to the ancient Chinese tradition, offering a lightness and sparseness of subject. "As with any artist, I paint in hopes that my work will comfort the viewer and transport them to a place of beauty, a paradise where only dreams can take them.” said by Richard Leung. His works are currently exhibited at Leung Gallery in Shanghai, China.
