萧淑芳，广东省中山市人，中央美术学院教授。1925年从师汪慎生、汤定之、齐白石等学习国画，1926年入北平国立艺专学习西画，1937年赴欧洲深造。五六十年代画水彩、水墨，任教于中央美术学院，在中国水彩画坛享有一定盛誉，1954年全国首届水彩、速写展览会上，她的水彩画《丁香花》、《少先队员》是画展中优秀作品之一。她的水彩画融中西优秀画法于一体，自成一格，色调明快，不重光影，笔法简洁，意境清新，先后有许多作品参加国内外大展，颇受好评，她是北京水彩画会老会员，出版有《水彩画技法》及许多作品被辑入选辑。

Xiao Shufang(1911- 2005)
Entered Peking Art Training School to study painting in 1926 and went to Europe to study sculpture in 1937. After returning to China, she was engaged in fine art teaching at Shanghai, Beijing and other cities. After 1949, she worked as a teacher at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and also taught watercolor painting at the Central Industrial College. She participated in many domestic and international exhibitions. Her paintings collected by China National Art Gallery and other art institutions and private collectors.(Lot 4 )
