人性的文本

如果说艺术家必须有精神的思考，那么从刘平的画我们就能得到印证。

在刘平的作品里总有不断重复呈现的生命的容器，他们总是仰头企盼着什么，是的，当精神被异化之后，生命仅是一个空壳，在信仰的废墟之上，生命有如蓝色海洋里的鱼被抛在沙滩在混沌的日光下大口的喘息，焦灼而恐惧。而少年时的信念异化成欲望的章鱼时所留下的仅仅是存在的挣扎，信念的峰峦变成为用物质贪婪叠起的一道抹不去的风景，所以刘平的画更像是一个人性的文本，记录了他对人性的思考与发现。

生命总是有他的尊严，并且生命总是能够超越自己而传承信念的力量。

对于刘平绘画的图式语言则更多的具有这个时代的特征，即人性的觉醒下的对西方绘画形式的当代表现与借用。而他的水墨与他的观念的表述是自然而有效的，这在当下显得非常可贵！

Text on Humanity

If an artist must have thinking on spirit, this can be found in Liuping’s drawings.

There appears repeatedly holders of lives in Liuping’s works. Those lives always raise their heads and look for something. Yes, life is only an empty shell after spirit has been dissimilated. On wasteland of belief, lives is like fishes from blue sea being thrown in sands and panting in turbid daylight with anxiety and fear. While when belief of youth has been dissimilated to octopus full of desires, only struggles of existing are left. The peak of belief has been changed to unremovable scenary piled with materials and greediness. So I think Liuping’s drawings are more like text on humanity which records his thinking and findings on humanity.

Life always has its dignities. It always can surpass itself and convey strength of belief.

Graphic languages of Liuping’s drawings have more characteristics of our times, which is expression and borrow of western drawing with awareness of humanity. Expression of his Chinese Ink and his ideas is natural and effective, which is quite precious currently.

Ponder is needed when you read Liuping’s paintings.
