林天行，原名林仚，號大也堂主，1963年生於中國福州市。1978年始先後師從畫家吳國光、林光、陳挺、劉牧等諸先生學習西洋畫和中國畫。1984年移居香港。1989年就讀於中央美術學院國畫系。1991-98年任教於香港大一藝術設計學院。現為香港國際藝術交流協會主席，中國美術家協會會員，中國畫學會創會理事-香港會副主席，李可染畫院研究員，中國熱帶雨林藝術研究院常務理事，深圳畫院客座藝術家。

Lam was born in October 1963 in Fujian Province, China. He began studying Western and Chinese paintings in 1978 under the guidance of masters such as Wu Gouguang, Lin Guang, Chen Ting and Liu Mu. He immigrated to Hong Kong where he started his first studio in 1984. He later returned to China to continue his studies at the Chinese Painting Department of Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. Lam took a teaching post at the Hong Kong First Institute of Art and Design upon his graduation, and taught there until 1998.

曾在北京、香港、紐約、柏林、不萊梅、米蘭、新加坡、台北、首爾等地舉辦個人畫展五十餘次；作品入選百年中國畫展、全國美展、中國改革開放30年畫展、深圳國際水墨雙年展和當代香港藝術雙年展等，以及世界各地聯展百多次。

Lam has held more than 50 solo exhibitions in many major cities around the world, i.e. Beijing, Hong Kong, New York, Berlin, Bremen, Milan, Singapore, Taipei and Seoul. He has participated more than one hundred joint exhibitions around the globe. Many of the exhibitions are the most representative and significant ones; to name a few below:

作品被中國美術館、國家畫院、廣州美術館、深圳美術館、深圳畫院、香港藝術館、香港文化博物館、香港禮賓府、香港駐華盛頓貿易發展局、香港國泰航空公司、香港四季酒店、澳門四季酒店、香港文華東方酒店、北京香格里拉酒店、聯合航空公司、瑞士信貸銀行、香港中國銀行總行等，以及許多中外機構與私人收藏。2005及2008年作品“晨曲”、“維港兩岸”獲邀隨神舟六號及七號太空船升空。出版有個人作品專集二十多種。

Lam’s paintings, “Morning Songs” and “Sideview in Victoria Harbour”, have accompanied the space shuttles of the Shenzhou VI and Shenzhou VII in 2005 and 2008 respectively, witnessed these important national milestones, and brought honour to Hong Kong. Moreover, he has published more than twenty albums of his works.

林天行以獨特的視覺方式，完滿的構圖與空靈的意境，游離在具象和抽象之間，時而厚重時而清雅的大面積色墨交織在一起。自由豪邁的筆觸將“精神的真實”與“感覺的形象化”清晰表現出來，形成了強烈的個人風格，開拓了水墨重彩畫的“新境象”。

Lam Tian Xing (also known as Lam Sin), alias Master of the Hall of Boundlessness, a renowned contemporary artist who has developed his own profound style in ink color painting, which has harmoniously blended the traditional framework of Chinese ink color paintings with bold western techniques in rich and vibrant colors, with layered images that are both abstract and concrete.
