1979年2月出生于安徽合肥，2000年至今在中国美术学院工作。2003年中国美术学院玻璃工作室成立之初，他开始接触并了解铸造玻璃艺术，从此开始致力于玻璃艺术的创作和研究。
在他看来，玻璃是最好的表现事物动态变化的媒介——玻璃的色彩流动表现自然景观的瞬息万变，热弯扭曲表现人类文明的更迭轮回。阴阳交替，万物更迭，在一切事物的变化中，他力图抓住其中永恒不变的常态。

Xu Jinlong was born in 1979 in Anhui, China. He has been working in China Academy of Art since 2000 and was first introduced to glass casting process when the glass studio was established in China Academy of Art in 2003. he has been engaged in creation and research of glass arts.
In his perspective, glass is the best media to present the dynamic state of things—the colors that flow to sketch the change of natural scenery, the sculptures that are twisted and melted to highlight the cycling of human civilization—through all the changes of things, he tries to grasp the essence that ever lasts.
