无论经历身体的出走，或是艺术界限的消解，潘凯始终期望以一种耐人寻味的形式留住人类的一点幻想，去对抗现实中既定的秩序，以另外一种方式寻找我们在繁杂的文明社会中失去的稚拙、清新、幻想，同时暗示着深藏于宇宙空间中的神秘能量，它处于有形世界的背后，连接着汹涌浩瀚的无形世界，究竟我们这些小小的颗粒是从哪里来到世界的，来到这里以前我们又是什么，我们现今对这个世界的改造所释放的能量是被定格了吗？还是进入能量的链条中循环不止。这对我们所有人来说是一个巨大的迷，也是潘凯创作活动的直接源动力。
潘凯的作品是以身体为界限，分为内外两个方面，一是存在于我们身体内部的决定我们行动的微观物态，比如意识的颗粒，它们属于我们，我们却无从感知它们的存在，我们的行为又受到它们的支配，我们与它们的距离既近又远。二是存在于我们身体以外的外部空间，它包括万物甚至宏观的宇宙，这些不属于我们，而且我们和万物都从属于这个宏观的宇宙，受到宇宙中恒定法则的宏观调控，我们与它们的距离既远又近。在这样的两极之间，身体的内与外之间，它们在本质上有着相互对应的关系。这也正是本次个展的主题所在--“?0“。
潘凯从执着的试验、体验、经验中，摸索出自己特有的雕塑语言，凭借自身对雕塑独有的自然感观神经迸发出一系列的创作。潘凯用他的雕塑告诉我们他所经历的，思考的，蜕变的一切内容。在当今这个浮华焦躁的时代，请大家放慢您的脚步，抛开暂时的喧嚣，卸下您厚重的“铠甲”，一起遨游在潘凯—“?0”的世界中。

Pan Kai, who has experienced escape of the body, or the disappearance of art boundary, always wishes to retain some imagination of the human being in a form of meditation, to protest against the established order of the reality, to make the uncertainties in life survive, and in an alternative way, to find back the naivety, imagination and refreshing that are lost in the complex civilization of the society. His artworks also suggest a mysterious energy in the universe that exists behind the physical world, linking the intangible massive and mighty world. Where on earth do we, the little particulate matter, come from? What were we before coming to this world? Is it that we have exhausted all our energy that we have needed so far for changing the world? Or are we in the energy circulating chain? These questions seem mysteries to all of us, but serve as the direct motivation of Pan Kai’s art creation.
There are two aspects of Pan Kai’s artworks which is either inside or outside the body. One exists inside the body which determines the micro physical state of our behavior, like the particulate matter of our consciousness. It belongs to us but inexistent to us, but determines our behavior. It is close to us but seems to be at arm’s length. The other aspect exists outside our body, including everything and even the magnificent universe, but these don’t belong to us, and these and we are subordinate to the universe, governed by the universal laws. They are distant but seem close at hand. The space inside or outside of the body seems kind of strange, but at the same time there exists some kind of correlation. That’s exactly the topic of this exhibition ----“?0”.
Pan Kai has gradually found the form of expression that is unique to his own sculpture through repeated experiments and experiences. A series of artworks have been created with his unique physical sensory nerves for sculpture. With his sculptures, the artist relates to the audience all that he has experienced and thought over and all that has been changed. In this chaos of blundering world, it’s suggested that you slow down your pace, put aside the temporary chaos, unload your burdensome “loricae”, and enjoy Pan Kai’s artworks themed as “?0”.
