作品介绍
艺术家孟庆楠的“心像图形”格子绘画，用独创臆造的昆虫复眼效果，颠覆解构了传统图形与事件，发现并重构出角色的心像图形，运用潜意识图形与状态，在执意形式与无意识形式间寻找原绘画的真谛。在中国传统图示中衍生现代的视觉审美和经验，为当代艺术的经典传承树立了里程碑鉴。
艺术家的语言是否独立、个性，是否系统、完整，成为其能否获得艺术发言权的必需。艺术的淘汰与竞争同自然的进化和环境的变迁总是有着千丝万缕的渊源，艺术文本的记录和传承，艺术图示的进化和存在，都在艺术之路上留下深刻的印迹。
“格子语言”：虽然乍一看有点像70年代的一位美国艺术家那样都是“马赛克”，实际上是模仿昆虫的视觉图像，以此来全方位地表现人的气场，用格子的解构，转变关注的焦点点，透过表象进入内心情感世界，感受鲜明个性，品位深刻的文化内涵。并借古喻今，暗指对现代人生活现状的质疑与设问。圆形格子的重复重叠，衍生出钱币、眼睛、连环等颇带有寓意的传统图形，格子元素的运用呼应了角色的故事情节。传统的门当户对，迂腐的物质价值观，统统的在爱情的光芒下，土崩瓦解、灰飞烟灭。格子语言表达的物质、金钱、关注、焦点、联接、链条等涵义，在画面上形成了强烈的视觉张力和隐语力量，给予作品深厚的文化延续和长久的艺术感染力。
另外是表现中国传统文化：作品借用汤显祖的名著《牡丹亭》的角色形象，刻画追求自由爱情的曲折艰难。所描绘的包括青花、戏剧脸谱等等，既脱离了“中国符号”，又给予中国文化一种当代的表现，是最能表现中国艺术的文艺复兴特点的艺术家。
