Xu Bo’s Profile 徐波简介
Xu Bo （male） was born on October 25th，1962 in Anqing located in China’s Anhui province. Xu joined the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and later the Navy. After graduation from Chinese Hygiene Cadre Academy， Xu worked in Anqing petroleum hospoital for a while and became a professional painter in 1993. Xu studied in Department of Oil Painting at Central Authority Academy of Fine Arts in 1996， and stayed on in school as a postgraduate researching Folk art.
Xu has held solo exhibition of his oil paintings many times in Beijing， Shanghai， Hong Kong， and has also pulished his collection of oil paintings. Many of Xu’s artworks were well bid at auction by both individuals and institutions.

On China’s Fine Oil Painting Exhitibion held in Hangzhou， 1990， Xu’s work The Gateway won an award for excellence.
On China’s West Lake Art Festival held in Hangzhou， 1992， Xu displayed his oil painting The End of Wintertime.
On Across the Straits Water Color Exhibition held in Taiwan， 1992， Xu’s work Waiting won an award for excellence.
On China’s Annual Oil Painting Exihibtion held in Beijing， 1993， Xu’s work The Attachment of the Vines won an award for excellence.
On China’s Annual Oil Painting Exihibtion held in Beijing， 1994， Xu exhibited his work The Customs of the Li Minority.
On China’s second Oil Painting Exihibtion held in Beijing， 1994， Xu exhibited his work The Red Plain.
On China’s 8th Oil Painting Art Exihibtion held in Anhui， 1994， Xu exhibited his work The Merry Land.
On China’s 4th Oil Painting Sports Exihibtion in 1997， Xu exhibited his work Red Earth.
On China’s Modern Art Exihibtion held in Beijing，1997， Xu’s work Swaying in March won an academic award.
On China’s Art Exihibtion Today held in Beijing，2001， Xu’s work Land won an award for excellence.
On China’s 3rd Oil Painting Exihibtion held in Anhui，2003， Xu exhibited his work Joy for All （NO.2）
On New Century Art Exihibtion held in Anhui， 2004， Xu’s work The Southern Wind won an award for excellence.
On China’s 1st Petroleum Oil Painting Art Exihibtion held in Beijing， 2005， Xu’s work The Red Plain （No.2） won a golden award.
In 2005， Xu’s work The Portratit of Mao Zedong is permantly collected by Yan’an Revolution Memorial in Yan’ an.
In 2008， Xu’s work Silver won an award for excellence on China’s abstract art exhibition and was permantly collected by Macao Art Museum.
In 2009， as a contracted artist in Hong Kong Art Museum， Xu joined the Museum’s group exhibition “Two Stars celebrating the New Year ” in 798 Art District， Beijing， China.
徐波，男，1962年10月25日生于安徽，安庆，1979年参加中国解放军、海军、1986年毕业于中国卫生干部学院，供职安庆石化医院放射科，1993成为职业画家。1996年就读于中央美术学院油画系。1998年考入中央美术学院民间艺术研究室，研究生。多次在北京、上海、香港， 举办个人油画展并出版油画集。多幅作品参加拍卖，并被个人及机构收藏。
