个体历程：艺术的制造与探索
BTTI系列当代艺术展览和讲座活动首次活动


BTTI国际艺术交流中心与再生空间计划（SRP）在2014年合作推出系列展览和讲座活动，项目将在BTTI天津部艺术工作室内实施，旨在对艺术工作室的概念进行重新诠释，模糊艺术的教育、生产与展示之间的边界。

我们的目标：
• 为当地民众和学生提供一个快乐且激动人心的体验当代艺术和西方艺术的机会
• 为新兴艺术家和成熟艺术家提供一个安全实用的场所来进行艺术创造和交流思想
• 为民众和学生定期提供关于艺术和艺术理论的讲座和会谈

征集艺术家：
         BTTI国际艺术交流中心很高兴地迎来我们的首次展览《个体历程：艺术的制造与探索》。我们计划推出一系列当代艺术展览，为新兴艺术家和成熟艺术家提供展示的平台，此次展览作为这一系列展览的第一回，将于2014年3月15日开幕。
        本次群展将探讨艺术家如何将艺术作为工具去探索和发现他们自己的世界，从一个灵感的出现，引发他们的创作迅速发展甚至超出最初的设想。展览所展出的并非艺术家们相对成熟的创作，而是呈现艺术家灵感诞生的那一时刻。如果您认为您的经历和艺术作品涉及这一主题，并且有兴趣参加此次展览，欢迎您向我们提供您相关的电子文件（下文详）。我们将会展出各种不同媒介的作品，年轻艺术家任瀚先生将在开幕式发起讨论，届时还会有乐队在现场演奏原创音乐。本次活动将免费对公众开放，我们诚挚地邀请您和您的朋友参加。提交申请材料的截止日期为2014年2月28日。

开幕式时间：下午3点至6点
展览时长：两周，展览将在2014年3月28日结束
布展日期：2014年3月10日 星期一

如何提交申请:
所有感兴趣参加展览的艺术家需要与展览策展人Selena Jones女士或任瀚先生联系，并将申请材料发送给他们。随后所有被确定参展的艺术家必须在3月10号以前将他们的作品带到 BTTI 天津部。

BTTI present: Contemporary Art Exhibition and Lecture Series

Discovery Through Making: The Process in Art

 

In 2014, BTTI International Art Exchange Center and Space Regeneration Project (SRP) cooperate and launch a series of exhibitions and lectures, produced and displayed in BTTI Tianjin art studios. The program aims to reinterpret the concept of art studio, and blur the border between art education, production and presentation.

 

Our Mission:

· To provide our local community and students with an exciting and enjoyable opportunity to experience contemporary and Western art. 

· To provide emerging and established artists a safe and practical venue for creative expression and thought.

· To provide our community and students with regular lectures and discourse relating to art and art theory

 

A call to artists:

We at Beneath the Tree International are excited to announce our first art show, Discovery Through Making: The Process in Art. Scheduled for the 15th of March, 2014, it is the first of what we hope will be several art shows held on a monthly basis, featuring international and local emerging and established artists. 

 

This first show will revolve around artists who use art as a tool for discovering and exploring their world--beginning with an idea, their artworks quickly grow into more than they may have originally imagined. If you believe your process and art relate to this theme, you are welcome to send us images of your work to be considered for the show. We will feature artists of a variety of mediums, and Ren Han will act as a key lecturer and artist at the event opening. The opening of the show will also include a live band playing original music. The event will be open to the public, and we encourage you to invite your friends and colleagues. All submissions are due by February 28th.

 

Event opening date: March 15th

Time: 3-6pm

Location: BTTI International Art Exchange Center, #17 Jingweitiandi(Diwei Road), Hebei District, Tianjin

Show length: 2 Weeks. The show will close on Friday, March 28th.

Submission deadline: February 28th.

Art installation date: Monday, March 10th.

 

How to apply to this show:

All interested artists should contact Selena Jones or Ren Han, show curators at BTTI, and send them ideas or images of artworks you wish to put in the show. Any accepted artists must be able to bring their work to BTTI headquarters by March 10th.
