2017年是香港踏入回歸20周年及天趣國際藝術進入第10個年頭的歷史性重要時刻，天趣隆重推出香港著名藝術家王守清的彩墨藝術展 -《魅境》於3月10日在香港天趣當代藝術館舉行開幕儀式！本展覽彙集了王守清2015年在俄羅斯秋季遊覽莫斯科、聖彼得堡等地域回港後進行創作的最新系列。其作品如同田園史詩般的交響樂，畫面色彩絢麗帶著朦朧；意境悠遠帶著神秘，充滿了俄羅斯的異域風情。

2017 is a remarkable year in two aspects: the 20th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to China and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Art of Nature International. Taken the momentous opportunity, we present to you the Phantom Realm - Color Ink by Wong Sau Ching. This exhibition gathers Wong Sau Ching (Ching) latest creation, after his visit to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia during fall 2015. These artworks are orchestra like - visually vivid yet nebulous; conceptually conspicuous yet mysterious.

現任中央美術學院院長范迪安就曾評價過王守清：「王守清先生畢業于英國的藝術學府，對西方現代抽象藝術深有研究，注重繪畫形式的探索，在抽象的形式結構中融匯中國藝術的寫意語言，作品既有強烈的視覺張力，又蘊含真切生動的生活體驗，是一種相容中西、富有文化品質的意象形態。」

The President of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Fan Dian said, “Ching graduated from a Britain art academy with a profound understanding of western abstract arts. Focuses on the exploration of different forms of painting. Integration of Chinese ink painting’s free strokes into the structure of abstract arts. Thus his work is visually powerful and authentic. It is a result of the imagery construct by both the Chinese and Western culture.”

此次展覽將可以看到王守清是一位遊離行走在東西文化的香港當代藝術家，他從全球化-地域、觀念-語言、社會圖景-個人心性等多個角度和視角來剖析實驗水墨的現象和問題，天趣希望通過展現王守清在香港水墨藝術領域中開放的這朵奇葩，從而表達他四十年來默默耕耘、不斷探索多元開創所呈現出當代中國水墨的另一種精神景觀，既是對水墨藝術傳承發展的貢獻，也是在實踐學術成果的推進，再者對香港的文化藝術建設和學術層面提出了新的課題……

This exhibition of Wong Sau Ching entails his ability of understanding and questioning experimental ink in many aspects: globalization versus regional; perception versus language; society versus intuition. Ching has been working unanimously for over four decades, trying to unravel a different path and a more innovative way to present the new genre of Chinese ink painting through his genius works of art. More importantly, his contribution in ink art has raised new academic propositions as well as arts and culture progression in Hong Kong.

關於藝術家 :

王守清於1954年出生。1992年畢業於英國倫敦溫布頓藝術學院，兩年後為香港視覺藝術中心擔任導師，並於2001年任香港藝術公社董事主席及國際藝術村Res Artist中國區主席。

他曾參與多個中國以及海外的展覽，包括法國巴黎市立博物館主辦的「2000年世界藝術大展」以及2010年中國上海世博會「承傳與創造 - 水墨對水墨」展覽等。他曾獲邀參與香港藝術發展局和英國文化協會於1995年合辦之「藝術家留駐計劃」、香港芭蕾舞圑於同年主辦之「多媒體藝術教育計劃」以及香港藝術發展局和香港藝術中心於1997年合辦的「藝術家留駐計劃」。其公共藝術作品包括2000年獲香港鐵路有限公司委任創作的壁畫及2008年獲澳門四季酒店委任創作的十幅作品。

王氏在藝術界屢獲殊榮，曾於1997年第一屆「視藝獎助計劃」獲香港藝術發展局頒發「視藝發展獎」，其作品「香港日記」於2003年「第三屆中國油畫展」中獲頒「油畫獎」。許多藝術館和博物館也收藏了他的作品，及眾多私人收藏和拍賣記錄。
