龙泉窑是中国历史上的一个名窑，宋代六大窑系。汉族传统制瓷工艺的珍品。因其主要产区在浙江省龙泉市而得名。它开创于三国两晋，结束于清代，生产瓷器的历史长达1600多年，是中国制瓷历史上最长的一个瓷窑系，它的产品畅销于亚洲、非洲、欧洲的许多国家和地区，影响十分深远。

龙泉青瓷的烧制始于1700多年前，宋代达到鼎盛。是中国乃至世界陶瓷史上烧制年代最长、窑址分布最广、产品质量要求最高、生产规模和外销范围最大的青瓷历史名窑之一。

龙泉青瓷传统上分“哥窑”与“弟窑”。哥、弟窑之说来自明代记载：“宋处州龙泉县人章氏兄弟均善治瓷器。章生二所陶名章龙泉，又名弟窑。章生一之哥窑其兄也。”是否真有兄弟二人，已无可考，但说明了两种不同的龙泉青瓷产品：一种是白胎和朱砂胎青瓷，称“弟窑”或“龙泉窑”，另一种是釉面开片的黑胎青瓷，称“哥窑”。

“哥窑”出现于南宋中晚期，与著名的官、汝、定、钧并称为宋代五大名窑，特点是“胎薄如纸，釉厚如玉，釉面布满纹片，紫口铁足，胎色灰黑”。“哥窑”以瑰丽、古朴的纹片为装饰手段，如冰裂纹、蟹爪纹、牛毛纹、流水纹、鱼子纹、膳血纹、百圾碎等加之其釉层饱满、莹洁，与釉面纹片相映，更显古朴典雅。此类产品以造型、釉色及釉面开片取胜，因开片难以人为控制，裂纹无意而自然，天工造就，更符合自然朴实、古色古香的审美。

The firing of Longquan celadon began more than 1700 years ago and reached its peak in the Song Dynasty. It is one of the historical celadon kilns with the longest firing period, the widest kiln site distribution, the highest product quality requirements, and the largest production scale and export scope in the history of China and even the world.

Longquan celadon is traditionally divided into "ge kiln" and "Di kiln". "Ge Kiln" appeared in the middle and late period of the Southern Song Dynasty, together with famous guan, Ru, Ding and Jun as one of the five famous kilns of the Song Dynasty, characterized by "thin as paper, thick as jade glaze, glaze covered with flakes, purple mouth iron foot, gray and black tire". "Ge Kiln" is decorated with magnificent and simple pieces, such as ice cracks, crab claw, cow hair, flowing water, fish seeds, food and blood lines, and hundreds of pieces of debris, combined with its full glaze layer, bright and clean, and glaze pieces, more simple and elegant.
