余承尧(1898-1993)福建永春人。早年留日，后经历了三十年的军旅生活与近八年的商场奔逐，直至56岁时才提笔习画，以画自娱。擅国画山水。1986年第一次举办个展，1988年在北京历史博物馆举办90岁回顾展。作品有《长江万里图》等。(图号：1419)

Yu Chengyao (1898-1993) was a native of Yongchun, Fujian Province.He lived and studied in Japan in his early years. After 30 years living in the army, and 8 years as a businsesman, he decided to pursue art when he was 56 years old. He found that he enjoyed art. He particularly liked traditional Chinese paintings of Mountain and Water. He held his 1st solo Exhibition in 1986 and held his 90 Years' Retrospective Exhibition in Beijing History Museum. His representative work includes Ten Thousand Miles of Yangtze River, etc. (Lot 1419)
