-《病毒携带者》
在他的狗系列作品的“病毒携带者”以及“签证”中，王广义把狗的形象与在护照中可见的种族和身份信息同时呈现，从而产生了一种关于身份和社会控制的既烦扰又可笑的质问。每个人的生存都有一系列所必须的证件，人出生到死亡所办的所有文件中，签证最具意识形态性质。在国与国之间的这个中间地带，所有人在这里都被置于国家之间权力问题的阴影中，你很难成为一个不带文化色彩的纯粹个体。1996王广义的“验血—人人可能是病毒携带者”装置作品，所要表达的是社会这一整体力量对个体生命的不信任感，所导至的一种普遍的怀疑精神对人内心深处的伤害，而更为严重的是，这种怀疑精神在今天已成为人人接受的“文明的时尚”。他的狗系列作品之“病毒携带者”则是对社会分类和卫生关注的思考做了又进一步地推进。
Virus Carrier
Wang Guangyi’s Virus Carrier series juxtaposes images of various breeds of dog with the identity information displayed on passports to raise disturbing yet humorous questions about personal identity and social control. In 1996, Wang Guangyi created the installation Blood Test – Everyone Can Be a Virus Carrier as a metaphor for the general distrust of the individual by the larger social organism, and the toll that this distrust takes on the human psyche. In Virus Carrier, he takes this theme one step further and explores our preoccupations with social categorization and hygiene.

1957年，王广义出生于中国黑龙江省哈尔滨。毕业于浙江美术学院油画系，现居北京。'85新潮中“北方群体”发起人之一，也是政治波普艺术的代表。主要作品有“后古典”系列、“大批判”系列和“冷战美学”系列等。
Artist
Wang Guangyiwas born in 1957 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. Graduated from the oil painting department of the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts; lives and works in Beijing. One of the founders of the Northern Artists Group, he is also the representative figure of Political Pop. Major works include the Post-Classical series, the Great Criticism series, and the Cold War Aesthetics series.
