自他儿童时代曾浩总是沉迷于人类与客体的关系,正如艺术家本人所言,
“人类创造了万事万物,但最终却被自己所创造的一切所奴役。我迷惑的
是谁在为谁服务。”曾浩绘画出有规则的,排列彼此保持适当距离的,并
游离于单色背景的作品来表达他所认识的人与客体的关系。通过试图努力
疏远日常生活的消费主义经历,艺术家创造了日常生活的新景象并向我们
展示出物质客体对于社会的异化力量。
Since his childhood, Zeng Hao has always been captivated by
the relationship between humans and objects. As the artist
says,“ people create objects, but eventually become enslaved by
them. I am confused about who serves whom.”
Zeng Hao reflects on this relationship by painting humans and
objects in equal sizes, all equally distanced from each other and
floating on a monochrome background.
In his effort to remain estranged from everyday consumerism,
the artist creates new scenes of daily life to show us the
alienating power of material objects on society.

ZengHaois known for his series of paintings that show tiny figures floating among objects and furniture on a cold uniform background. Characterized by a total absence of perspective, his paintings give the same visual weight to both man and object, without any apparent link between the different elements. Shocked by the importance his friends placed on their objects and luxuries, ZengHaobegan these paintings as a critic of consumerism.
